SUNDAY 08 MARCH 2026

International Women's Day Local Talent Showcase

International Women's Day Local Talent Showcase

Venue: Theatre Royal
2pm
Join us for a special afternoon celebrating creativity, community, and the voices of women today. We are collaborating with University of Winchester students, alongside young people from our Playmakers Youth Theatre, to create powerful spoken word pieces inspired by strong women of our time. In the lead-up to the event, participants will take part in a workshop with a local Spoken Word artist, sparking ideas and shaping original performances. These new works will be shared at the showcase alongside other local spoken word artists, accompanied by live, improvised soundscapes provided by University of Winchester Music Students.
