Mrs Twit is scheming and sly and always thinking of the next horrible trick to play on her husband. The only joy the Twits get is from doing the dirty on each other, playing grotesque tricks including mixing worms into spaghetti, throwing frogs into the other’s bed, and lengthen their chair legs to make it appear as though one has shrunk. In fact, the Twits are so ghastly and evil that they even keep Muggle-Wump the monkey and his family captive in their garden. But not for much longer! The monkeys are planning to trick the terrible Twits so that they can escape and put a stop to the frightful pair once and for all! Renowned for a deep understanding of the jazz tradition, he combines his virtuoso technique with a uniquely distinctive style of improvisation. Costley-White has performed with many of the UK’s most celebrated musicians, and played to audiences across Europe, Asia and Australia. ‘Poncha’ is Costley-White’s highly-anticipated third album; a deeply personal collection of seven original compositions named after the Portuguese drink ‘punch’. Using a heady brew of cultural influences, his music skilfully blends dance rhythms and playful melodies from Brazil and Cuba with the harmony and swing of American jazz. Within the tunes lie a melodic and highly rhythmic approach to composition, inspired by his travels to South America, which his quartet interprets with style, flair and energy. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written including Be Our Guest, Gaston and, of course, the title song Beauty and the Beast. This “tale as old as time” tells the story of Belle, a young woman who lives for her books and eccentric old father, Gaston, the conceited, chauvinistic hunter who is determined to have Belle's hand in marriage, and the Beast, who is really a handsome young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will be broken and he and his whole household will be transformed back to their former selves. But time is running out and if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and all his friends will be doomed for all eternity. She made her debut at Map Studio Café two years ago and has since had the opportunity to perform with her band at venues such as the Jazz Sanctuary, as part of the London EFG Jazz Festival, and at the Royal Albert Pub. In addition to performing with her own ensemble, Lauren has played at various prestigious venues as a side musician for the Christ-Stephane Boizi Sextet, including the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, Jazz Refreshed (91 Living Room), and the We Out Here Festival. Alongside her work in combos, she is also heavily involved in big band performances for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and is set to record an album with Hans Koller’s big band this year.
