Event:  TakeNOTE Choir: YULETIDE - 7.30pm - TakeNOTE, a Winchester-based choir, performs an early celebration of Christmas at Holy Trinity Church, Upper Brook Street on Monday, 6 December. ‘Yuletide’ is a concert to celebrate the season in all its guises, from the sacred to the commercial, from the depths of winter to the hope of light and warmth to come. TakeNOTE will sing their winter repertoire of carols and songs, including pieces from the English and Celtic folk traditions, new words to an old TV theme, Thomas Tallis and Thomas Hardy in an unlikely but beautiful duet, and a sublime carol conceived on a Hampshire pub crawl in the 1920s.
