Venue: Theatre Royal map Address: Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB Telephone: Box office: 01962 840440 Event: Ronnie, Reggie and Me with Fred Dinenage - 7.30pm - The definitive insight into the real lives of Britain's most notorious gangsters, from their trusted official biographer. For decades they were feared as the ultimate criminal gang lords of the London underworld, but their reign of terror came crashing to an end when in 1969 both Ronnie and Reggie Kray were given life sentences by a judge at the Old Bailey. Reggie went on to serve decades in some of the toughest prisons in the country, while Ronnie became a patient at Broadmoor with an insanity that was only kept under control by massive doses of drugs. TV legend Fred Dinenage was chosen by the twins to tell their official story, and he became one of the very few people allowed into their inner circle. Fred gained an unparalleled insight into the real lives of the legendary kings of crime, and in this show, he reveals stories and situations for the first time that have never been told publicly before. Including recordings he made while visiting Ronnie at Broadmoor. Join Fred in person as he discloses what it was like to venture into some of Britain's toughest institutions and meet the most foreboding twins in criminal history, who other journalists just couldn’t get close to. You'll hear stories that will fascinate and intrigue, while learning about the gritty reality of being a gangster in the criminal underworld of the swinging 60s, from the only man they trusted to tell their tale. Venue: The Nutshell map Address: 15 Kings Walk, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8AF Telephone: 01962 808533 Event: The Nutshell Scratch Night - 7pm - The Nutshell Scratch Night is an evening dedicated to the development of brand-new, untested performance work. It provides a crucial platform for artists to put initial creative thoughts and ideas in front of a live, supportive audience to see what truly works. These informal nights are about taking a risk and trying out something bold and innovative that may one day develop into a fully formed piece. It’s an evening of experimentation, shared experience, and supportive feedback, giving artists the confidence to make the leap knowing there are peers and audiences there to catch them. Venue: The Lights map Address: West Street, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 1AH Telephone: Box office: 01264 368368 Event: Andover Music Club present ChamberMusicBox - 7.30pm - Described as ‘an open, imaginative and technically impeccable group that it would be folly not to follow’, ChamberMusicBox was founded in 2016 when a group of leading international musicians came together from across Europe to perform a series of chamber music concerts in London. Its Artistic Directors, violinist Yuri Kalnits and cellist Julia Morneweg, had a vision to explore and perform a vast spectrum of chamber music repertoire with their like-minded and exceptionally talented friends, to promote mutual respect and empathy in the community through music-making of rare passion and generosity, and for audiences to be part of that shared experience.
