The music of the classic line-ups of Wishbone Ash continues to delight audiences worldwide through both live performances and a rich legacy of recorded work that continues to be enjoyed by fans old and new. Classic album releases such as Wishbone Ash, Argus, Pilgrimage, Wishbone Four, There’s the Rub, New England and Live Dates defined the Wishbone Ash sound and touched the hearts of several generations of music fans. As lead vocalist, bassist and key creative force, founding original member Martin Turner was central to the critical and commercial success of Wishbone Ash’s most revered albums. Josh Berry intends to provide some sort of answer to this question, through his many impressions and characters, as he tells the tale of being his best friend's best man earlier this year. From routines on how to organise a 'progressive stag do', to the amusing difficulties men seem to face around positive emotional expression, the show is an opportunity for us to have a ruddy good laugh at a concept that could do with being taken a bit less seriously. There's also a routine about how much Josh hates runners and refuses to become one. N.B. Josh has since entered a half marathon. Simon Mayor is one of the world’s leading mandolinists as well as a fine fiddle player, guitarist, composer and wit. His many-faceted career includes two nights at Wembley Arena with the BBC Concert Orchestra, his own series on BBC Radio 2, an album in the Classic FM Top Ten chart, causing mayhem at a Canadian humour festival, and most memorably, a trip through the square window on BBC’s iconic Play School!
