Marcus Brigstocke: Vitruvian Mango Friday 07 March 2025
Venue:  Theatre Royal     map
Address:   Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB
Telephone:  Box office: 01962 840440
Event:  Marcus Brigstocke: Vitruvian Mango - 7.30pm - What are men for? Most heavy things can be lifted by machines and most problems can be solved by computers and most puddles can be crossed without us gallantly draping our capes over them - so are we fellas of any use at all? Award winning MAN Marcus Brigstocke thinks we might still serve some useful function. But what is it? This new tour show will resolve the entire issue once and for all (in a non-patriarchal, open minded, progressive sort of way). DaVinci's Vitruvian Man is the image of the ideal male form. Marcus' Vitruvian Mango is the same, but sweeter, softer, seasonally available and, when ripe, delicately perfumed.

Josh Berry: Best Man Saturday 22 March 2025
Venue:  Theatre Royal     map
Address:   Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB
Telephone:  Box office: 01962 840440
Event:  Josh Berry: Best Man - 8pm - It's clear what toxic masculinity is, but what does positive masculinity look like in a modern context? Josh Berry intends to provide some sort of answer to this question, through his many impressions and characters, as he tells the tale of being his best friend's best man earlier this year. From routines on how to organise a 'progressive stag do', to the amusing difficulties men seem to face around positive emotional expression, the show is an opportunity for us to have a ruddy good laugh at a concept that could do with being taken a bit less seriously. There's also a routine about how much Josh hates runners and refuses to become one. N.B. Josh has since entered a half marathon.

Chair Yoga? Cauliflower as a main course? Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. No current idiocy is left un-examined. With a highly developed sense of the ridiculous, and proper comedy bones, Not Himself, is a testament to the healing power of humour. And the joy of jokes.

Venue:  The Lights     map
Address:   West Street, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 1AH
Telephone:  Box office: 01264 368368
Event:  Hal Cruttenden: Can Dish It Out But Can't Take It - 8pm - Hal is back with a brand-new tour for 2025 with a show that promises to stick it to ‘The Man’, as long as ‘The Man’ doesn’t stick it back to him. With his trademark hard-hitting ‘take no prisoners’ comedy (this is what Hal told me to write!!!) he will be hilariously pontificating on subjects like middle aged dating, social media, the insanity of modern politics and the fact that his daughters love him but don’t respect him. He believes that, after you’ve seen the show, you’ll feel exactly the same way.

Ross Noble: Cranium of Curiosities Saturday 15 November 2025
Venue:  Theatre Royal     map
Address:   Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB
Telephone:  Box office: 01962 840440
Event:  Ross Noble: Cranium of Curiosities - 7.30pm - Roll up, roll up! Or use a more conventional form of transport to get to the show. It's entirely your choice. Unless you accidentally become trapped in a barrel*. Should that happen, then just find an incline and start rolling to see the one and only Ross Noble! He is the Wizard of Waffle, The Rambler Royale, The Noodlers' Noodler, and he's back live on stage to tour a tornado of tangents. What the show will be about is anybody's guess, but that's all part of the fun when you look inside his Cranium of Curiosities. *We strongly advise trying not to get trapped in a barrel before or during the performance. Despite the expression "barrel of laughs", it may impede your enjoyment of the show.
