Event:  WINCHESTER FESTIVAL: LUNCHTIME RECITAL - 1pm - Caleb Curtis-Cello, Ke Ma-Piano. Caleb started playing the cello at the age of six; he studied at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and Bedales School and is now continuing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed as a soloist with the Southern Pro Musica and Bedales School Orchestra and was the winner of the 2016 Norma Simpson Lower Strings Prize at the Royal Academy. Pianist Ke is also studying at the Royal Academy of Music; she has won competitions in China, Germany and the United Kingdom and, most recently, in France.

Event:  WINCHESTER FESTIVAL: LUNCHTIME RECITAL - 1pm - Josh Hall oboe Hayley Parks piano. Josh Hall began studying the oboe at the age of thirteen while at Churchers College, Petersfield. He is currently a postgraduate student at the Royal Northern College of Music, having previously graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire, where he was Principal Oboe of the Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra as well as of the CBSO Youth Orchestra and CBSO Youth Academy. He has performed regularly as Principal with the Mowbray Orchestra and in Italy with the Royal Northern College of Music and throughout Denmark, with the Det Danske Ungdomsensemble.

Event:  WINCHESTER FESTIVAL: LUNCHTIME RECITAL - 1pm - Nathalie Ryan is currently in her second year of the Hampshire Specialist Music Course, where she studies piano with Roger Owens. Recent performances have included Mozart's Piano Concerto No.12 in A major at Turner Sims and Winchester Cathedral and a performance of Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu at Peter Symonds College for which she won the Wilkins Kennedy Cup. Nathalie also studies violin with Adrian Adlam; as leader of Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, she enjoys performing a range of orchestral repertoire and looks forward to playing Stravinsky's Petrouchka on tour in Eastern Europe later this year. Nathalie hopes to further her musical studies at Magdalen College, Oxford.

Playing violin from a young age, Helena was able to extend her solo and chamber repertoire during 6th form studies on the Hampshire Specialist Music Course at Peter Symonds College from 2014 -16, studying with Anca Campanie and Roger Owens, with whom she is performing in this recital. Helena was a member of Hampshire County Youth Orchestra from the age of 11, leading the orchestra in her final year in concerts and tours abroad.
