Visitors are always welcome to come along and, as they do not operate a membership scheme, there is no need to book in advance. Their venue is The Winchester Club in Worthy Lane, Winchester - not far from the railway station - and ample free parking is available. Their concerts commence at 7.30pm and finish at around 10.00 p.m., with an interval of 30 minutes for refreshments and a raffle in aid of club funds. Winchester Folk Club opened its doors in the Attic of The Railway in May 2010, its first night playing host to none other than Martin Simpson. The club presents top national and international acts from the world of folk music. In its short history it has boasted an impressive list of guest artists, including Jim Moray, Lau, Martin Carthy and Chris Wood. The aim is to put on a varied billing of shows which hosts established names, alongside introducing exciting new and up-and-coming acts. The monthly singarounds at the Hyde Tavern are free, informal evenings where everyone gets together for a drink, and to sing a song or play a piece of music. This can be anything from unaccompanied singing to instrumental tunes, traditional or new, and is open to soloists, duos or larger groups. @ClubFolk |

Lunchtime Concerts
Venue: Winchester Cathedral

Brighten up your lunchtime with musical performances from local musicians, and pupils of schools and colleges from around the county. A Lunchtime Concert Series will take place at the Cathedral, in the Lady Chapel, from 1.15pm – 1.50pm most Tuesdays. Entry included with a valid annual pass. Seats for the lunchtime concerts are limited and are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
