Now armed with a solo show and her performances are receiving much attention. The audience are taken on quite some musical journey of sounds via her MPC 2000 drum machine, looper, Fender electric guitar, plus an array of effects to go alongside her soulful vocals. The experience is simply spellbinding. The songs sound unlike anything heard before. In many cases they are songs you would want to sing along with. Her style could be defined somewhere within Dream Folk and Alternative Indie Pop. However, Sylva Kay offers something new and different amongst these comparisons. Her work is sung from the heart and very musical. |
