Visitors are always welcome to come along and, as they do not operate a membership scheme, there is no need to book in advance. Their venue is The Winchester Club in Worthy Lane, Winchester - not far from the railway station - and ample free parking is available. Their concerts commence at 7.30pm and finish at around 10.00 p.m., with an interval of 30 minutes for refreshments and a raffle in aid of club funds. Formed in 1988 'The Docs' have been around the block a bit - At the start they set out to do gritty Dr Feelgood type stuff, the hard edge punky feel being a preference for singer/guitarist Tony. AC/DC, The Cult, ZZ Top, Purple, as well as some more traditional blues orientated tracks all get in the set nowadays, so it's a bit of a mix. Yes, it can get a bit loud but they've got some good gear so it's a good quality ear ache! They are renowned for their sound quality so don't be scared off. Tickets are priced at £3 - only 500 are available, so get in quick! The monies raised from ticket sales only cover the cost of the event. There will be some fundraising on the day for the Alex Lewis Trust by bucket collections. The event will be held at Stockbridge Recreation Ground (next to Lane End Kitchenware) on Stockbridge High Street. Car parking is at Fairview Farm. Please follow the signs to the car park on arrival. There is a short walk to the site. All ages are welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. A maximum of 4 children under 15 per adult. If you attend the village fete during the day before 5pm, you can stay for the Music Festival, but you won't be allowed re-admission if you leave the venue without a ticket.
