Every note that you hear is played and sung by the band, making each concert a genuine 'live' musical experience, all of which is ably supported by a dramatic light show that incorporates the iconic circular screen, two sets of projectors, smoke and lasers. So let The Floyd Effect take you on a true musical journey from the Dark Side Of The Moon, through Wish You Were Here and Animals, to The Wall, and all the way to the Division Bell. Unless you were there the first time round, the music of Pink Floyd was never as real as this. 17 March The Railway, Winchester 3 St Pauls Hill, Winchester, SO22 5AE Time: 8:45pm Tickets: £10 (adv) £12 (door) Box office: On-line or on Ticketweb: 08444 771 000 http://www.railwaylive.co.uk/ http://www.thefloydeffect.com For full details, start times, ticket information and age restrictions visit www.railwaylive.co.uk. |

Sunday 25 March 2012 -- EVENT HAS PASSED
Venue: Theatre Royal map Address: Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8SB Telephone: Box office: 01962 840440 Event: Into The Woods - 7pm - A world-wide stage sensation, Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods has won multiple awards including an Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival in 2010. Into the Woods is witty, dark and intelligent, mashing-up the stories of fairytale characters including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella, to name but a few! With all the characters focused on the same goal of getting their wish, the woods cast a giant shadow over them, as they each go Into the Woods to make their dreams come true. With great cunning and a few storylines that you definitely won't find in the original fairytales, at first they succeed. Until, that is, the Giant's Wife returns to avenge her husband and living 'happily ever after' starts to seem about as likely as Cinderella putting in for some cleaning overtime... Everyone will have to go to Into the Woods one more time... A complex metaphor for choosing the right path, Into the Woods will take you on a journey in which you will discover more than just a handful of magic beans! This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York. Tickets: Full £10.00, concessions £8.50.
