Award winning singer Robert Habermann tells the incredible story of The Hollywood Musical from the magical moment when the film star Al Jolson uttered the immortal words; “You Aint Heard Nothing Yet!” in the first 100% talking picture – The Jazz Singer in 1927, to the kaleidoscopic musicals of Busby Berkeley, starring Dick Powell, Ruby Keeler and a bevy of chorus girls. Robert will enchant you with songs from the iconic film musicals of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers like Top Hat, Judy Garland in Wizard of Oz, Gene Kelly in Singin in the Rain. There will be memorable hits from Walt Disneys Pinocchio, The Jungle Book and Mary Poppins. Plus great numbers from movies starring Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Doris Day, Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Elvis Presley and many more. Songs include: 42nd Street, Cheek to Cheek, True Love, Over the Rainbow, The Lady is a Tramp, The Trolley Song, Its Magic. The show climaxes with a marvellous medley of 20 Oscar winning songs.
