Tickets: Full: £ 18.00 Concessions £ 16.00 Friends: £ 15.50 - US born jazz vocalist Stacey Kent began her professional career singing in London's Soho in the early 90s at venues such as Cafe Boheme and Ronnie Scotts, and has since then carved an impressive reputation on the international jazz scene. In 2006 she received the BBC Jazz Award for Album of the Year for The Lyric and was also signed to the Blue Note record label that same year. In 2009 her album Breakfast on the Morning Tram was nominated for Best Vocal Jazz Album at the Grammy Awards and in 2009 she received the National Order of Arts and Letters from the French Culture Minister. Stacey has appeared in Ian McKellen's 1995 film version of Richard III, singing a jazz version of Christopher Marlowe's poem The Passionate Shepherd to his Love, was invited to sing at Clint Eastwood's 70th birthday party and has had appearances on Michael Parkinson's show and on David Frost's Breakfast with Frost. Stacey's latest album, Raconte-Moi (Blue Note/EMI) is an all-French album released in 2010.
