FRIDAY 31 JULY 2026
LILY LYONS & ESSY SPARROW
Venue: The Nutshell
8pm
an evening of live music with Lily Lyons and Essy Sparrow. Lily Lyons is a London-born singer-songwriter crafting tender, deeply introspective folk songs that find poetry in the quiet, everyday moments of life. For Lily Lyons, music feels like hope - or perhaps, possibility. Growing up split between London and Somerset, making weekly eight hour drives across the country between the base she knew with her mother and the faraway town her father had left for, she remembers the comfort of the car stereo on the open road. Essy Sparrow is a multi-disciplinary artist and songwriter creating gossip-filled nostalgic indie folk from her coastal studio in Cornwall. In 2025 she played Boardmasters with BBC Introducing, supported Tors and Semler, joined Lily Lyons in opening for The Staves and sold out her 200-cap London headline at St Mary with All Souls.
