Craig Charles is an artist who has been in the public eye since he was 12. First known for his poetry, he has developed a career as an actor, poet, but most importantly for us, within the music industry both as a DJ and band member. Depending which generation you are, you may know Craig from Red Dwarf, Coronation Street or his BBC6 Music show - the 'Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show', which he continues to host every Saturday. This Funk and Soul club night is an extension of the show and has covered the length and breadth of the country. Craig plays a mixture of well-known, classic funk and soul tracks along with the latest new up and coming songs. DJ Residencies have included Band on the Wall in Manchester, The Wardrobe and The Elbow Room in Leeds, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes and Brixton Jamm in London, and The Lanes and Motion in Bristol
