The diverse musical styles of Italian and German Baroque choral music will be explored by the Ashton Singers, from the avant garde harmonies of Carlo Gesualdo, the Deutsches Magnificat by Heinrich Schütz and Giacomo Carissimis oratorio Jepthe to J.S. Bachs majestic double choir motet Singet dem Herrn. Music by J.M. Bach, Schein and Monteverdi, sacred and secular, will provide further variety. To enhance the evenings entertainment, the Masters Garden will be open to the audience before the concert and in the interval, when drinks will be served.
