Southampton Philharmonic Choir with Southampton University Philharmonic Choir performs Verdi's Requiem, a work unashamedly theatrical in style, in which moments of great tenderness and simplicity are juxtaposed with passages of the most powerful and thrilling intensity. Performing with them under the baton of David Gibson are the New London Sinfonia.
