Address: High Street, Stockbridge, Hampshire, SO20 6HE Event: St George’s Day Celebration with Michelmersh Silver Band - 7.30pm - A special St George’s Day concert at St Peter’s Church with Michelmersh Silver Band conducted by Kevin Smith. The band are locally based but nationally known, and are currently rehearsing for participation in the South West of England Regional Qualifying Contest. With a very English flavour, the programme will include music often associated with the Last Night of the Proms. Tickets at just £15 or £5 for children, £30 for a family ticket – 2 adults, 2 children under 18. Refreshments will be available and pre-ordered drinks will go on sale nearer the date. We are delighted to be bringing them to Stockbridge for the first time in our headline concert of 2026. Knowing that their reputation will undoubtedly result in a full house, we are putting on two performances, one at lunchtime and one in the evening. Ben Goldscheider is one such musician. Born in 1997, Ben has given recitals at major concert halls across Europe, including the Concertgebouw, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Musikverein, Pierre Boulez Saal, Southbank Centre, and Wigmore Hall. As a soloist, he has appeared with orchestras such as the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (BBC Proms).
