The Titanic Survivors The Titanic Survivors started life long ago in 1979. Initially the line up was Chris Packham, Simon Olden, Gordon McGregor and brother Graham McGregor. Simon soon left to join Southampton punks Strate Jacket, and Chris became the TV Presenter. Their first gig was July 1981 at the Solent Suite in Southampton and more gigs followed at Club Manhattan and The Joiners in those early days. The band are mostly influenced by early 70's like Pink Floyd, glam rockers TRex, Rush. Classic punk bands The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Vibrators, The Buzzcocks, Dr Feelgood, Motorhead and The Damned...and in between that lot classic blues from Rory Gallagher...an unlikely combination!
