The Gaudeamus Chorale is one of the country’s premier non-professional choirs. Drawn mainly from among the members of the Berkhamsted and Chorleywood Choral Societies in Hertfordshire, where they share the same Musical Director in Graham Wili, they have performed in many of the great cathedrals of England and mainland Europe as well as the Royal Festival Hall. Their exciting repertoire for their August visit to the three Southern Cathedrals features the sublime Fauré Requiem.. . There are also works by Vaughan Williams, Cecilia McDowall and the magnificent “Blest pair of Sirens” by Hubert Parry which was so memorably performed in Westminster Abbey for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.. .
