The Waynflete Singers, Florilegium and soloists, directed by Andrew Lumsden, perform Bach's St John Passion. The music is a dramatic, highly charged account of Christ's Passion which has as its central focus Christ's trial before Pilate ....a delight in quasi-operatic effects achieved by virtuoso writing.
