Winchester Consort Song of Songs

Settings of the Psalms and the Song of Solomon will be sung by Winchester Consort and conducted by Patrick Hawes (a former composer-in-residence at Classic fm) in this, the choir's debut performance. Music will include Patrick's Song of Songs, with Natalie Clifton-Griffith (soprano) and Claire Jones (formal Royal Harpist); a premiere performance of Patrick's setting of Psalm 23, specially written for the choir; Allegri's Misereri; Parry's I was Glad and works by Vaughan-Williams, Willan and Harris. The programme will also include Patrick's The Call (soprano) and After the Rain (harp), and a harp arrangement of Softly awakes My Heart (from Samson and Delilah).
