Dove and Boweevil + Ella Janes DOVE AND BOWEEVIL are on tour throughout April, playing The Attic at The Railway on April 15th with Ella Janes. 7.30pm £6. 'Sounds like Seasick Steve on speed with a female voice' Blues Matters Magazine. Dove and Boweevil are an acoustic blues and soul duo from the UK's answer to the Delta, the Norfolk Broads. From raw, rasping dobro to sweet sultry soul influenced by Robert Johnson to Howling Wolf, Aretha Franklin to Big Mama Thornton. From the moment you hear them you can practically smell the gumbo cooking and taste Mint Julep such is their smoky, soul-drenched sound that belies their East Anglian roots and seems just pure Delta Blues. The Barn is the main event room for the full band sets. Shows are either strictly 18+ or 16+ (some 14+) and usually start around 8pm.
