Manners Makyth Man was formed in September 2009 by a group of Winchester Cathedral lay clerks. The name of the group stems back to William of Wykeham, a Bishop of Winchester. It seems fitting that the group's first public engagement was on the anniversary of William's death on 27th September. Admission is free but a retiring collection is taken to help defray costs.
