Andover Music Club was founded nearly 70 years ago by Miss Gladys New, a well-known singer in Andover. The club has developed to become one of the best-supported in southern England with over 180 season tickets sold last year. The club presents six concerts every season with a wide range of music performed by professional artists.

He has family connections with Andover, where his father and grandparents lived in the 1940s and 50s, and he gave recitals for the Andover Music Club in 2010 and 2013.
